Calcium Lab makes small software products, including Glassnote, Tallix, and other apps. This policy explains, in simple terms, what data is collected through this website and how Calcium Lab products generally handle data.

Products

Calcium Lab products, including Glassnote and Tallix, are designed to be lightweight and privacy-respecting. Many are local or offline-first apps. Product data handling may vary by app and feature, but Calcium Lab does not claim ownership of your content.

Tallix

Tallix is an iPhone app. Your log, food library, meals, history and weight are stored on your device and sync to your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, so your data moves between your devices through Apple rather than through us. There is no Calcium Lab account and no Calcium Lab server holding your food data, and we cannot read it.

Tallix works with no network connection at all, including the food lookup, because its food database is bundled inside the app. In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Calcium Lab never sees your payment details.

Glassnote

Glassnote stores notes as plain text files on your Mac. If you turn on sync, notes move between your Macs over your own iCloud Drive. There is no Calcium Lab account and no server of ours in the middle.

Website data

This website uses Google Analytics with IP anonymization to understand basic traffic and page usage. The site may also receive technical information your browser sends automatically, such as device, browser, referral, and approximate location data.

Purchases and third parties

When you click through to buy a product, purchases are handled by third-party platforms such as Gumroad. Their privacy practices and terms apply to transactions made on their services.

How data is used

Data is used to operate the site, understand aggregate traffic, and improve products and pages over time. Calcium Lab does not sell your personal information.

Data sharing

Information may be shared with service providers that help run the website or sell products, but only as needed to operate those services.

Your choices

You can block analytics with browser settings, content blockers, or privacy tools. If you do not want information processed by third-party checkout providers, do not complete a purchase through those services.
