I made four launch videos in under an hour

No editor. No stock footage. I asked Claude Code for a video of my app and it read the code and made one.

I build apps. Making videos for them is the part I skip. Glassnote needed one anyway.

Then I saw a post on r/macapps: I tried Brag for a product video and the result surprised me.

So I tried it on Glassnote.

What Brag is

Brag is a free plugin for Claude Code. Its tagline is "You built it. Now brag." You run it inside your project and it makes a short launch video with music.

It is not a video app. It is a set of instructions. Claude reads your code, finds what is special about it, writes a plan, and builds the video itself.

Two commands to install:

It read the app, not a website

This is the part that got me. I never gave it a screenshot or a script.

It opened the Swift code. It found the glass backgrounds, the Markdown that hides its own symbols, the checkboxes, the pin, vim mode. It used the real shortcuts. It pulled the app's own colors and the real icons. It even used a line from the app's welcome note as the opening title.

Then it rebuilt the whole desktop in a web page and rendered it one frame at a time. It wrote the music too, as code.

The first hour

8:40am Installed Brag. Asked for a video of my Mac app.
8:55am First video done. "The better sticky note for Mac."
9:07am A vertical cut, and a deadpan "startup launch" version.
9:19am A third angle: notes that stay on top.
9:28am "Sticky notes made of glass," vertical and wide.

Four videos in 48 minutes. Claude wrote about 126,000 tokens to make them. Most of my time went to watching them and asking for small fixes.

That afternoon I had one more idea: Apple made the buttons glass, so why not the notes? I said it in one sentence. Minutes later it was a video.

My favorite one is a joke

I asked for "another tone." It made a dead-serious startup launch for a sticky note app.

"Introducing a new category." Beat. "Sticky notes." Then: "It hides its own asterisks. You're welcome." And my favorite: "Vim mode. For the three of you."

It is still every real feature. It just says them with a straight face.

It fixed what I pointed at

I am picky. A # blinked in and out on one heading. A line of text bounced. The glass flickered during a fade.

I described each one in plain words. It found the cause and fixed it. One was a blinking cursor that also decided which symbols to show. I would never have found that.

Then it helped me post

Every video came with captions for TikTok, YouTube and Reddit. It planned which hook goes where and how to tell which one works.

The first one is up on TikTok. No views yet. That is fine. Glassnote has five launch videos now, and the next one takes a sentence.

If you ship something and never made a video for it, try Brag. The worst case is a free video.
